Another Major success story for Golf Pride at The Open

Eighty one per cent of competitors (126/156) trusted Golf Pride grips at the 142nd Open Championship at Muirfield.

It meant the brand continued its vice-like grip on usage at the 2013 Majors with 82% of the field trusting the company’s grips at this year’s Masters and 79% of the field at the US Open at Merion.

Eight out of the last 10 Masters and US Open winners have used Golf Pride grips, while 9 out of the last 10 winners of the Open Championship also used them.

At the year’s fourth Major – the US PGA Championship – seven out of the last 10 champions have also relied on Golf Pride.

“We are delighted to announce that Golf Pride grips were the number one choice for the vast majority of competitors at this year’s Open Championship at Muirfield ,” said Conor Dillon, Golf Pride’s Sales and Marketing Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“That continues a long-term trend that has seen Golf Pride dominate the grip count at the Majors for many years.”

“Our grips also remain the No. 1 choice on all the major Tours and that is particularly gratifying because we do not pay players to use our products. Golf Pride invests extremely heavily in R&D and that translates into superior products, both in terms of quality and performance. That is why Tour players elect to use our products and it makes us very proud.”
