Bushnell named No.1 range finder at the Open

Sports Marketing Surveys have revealed Bushnell as the most chosen range finder among players and caddies at the recent Open Championship at Muirfield.

Among players using a range finder at the 2013 Open Championship, more than 78 per cent of the players and 66 per cent of the caddies reported their trust in Bushnell laser rangefinders.

Sports Marketing Surveys Inc. are regarded in Europe as the golf industry’s authority on equipment usage, conducted the study to determine the most widely used rangefinder at The Open Championship.

In addition, the Darrell Survey recently revealed at the 2013 Players Championship that over 90 per cent of the PGA Tour Players using a laser range finder used Bushnell.

“The results of this survey, conducted by Sports Marketing Surveys Inc., clearly illustrate Bushnell’s product superiority in the market and domination on the European Tour,” said Ghislain Mautin, Sales & Marketing Director at Bushnell Europe.

“The results of the survey do not come as a surprise as each year the best players in the world rely on our commitment to innovation and excellence to help them prepare to face world-class competition each week.”

England’s Lee Westwood, a Bushnell ambassador, entered the final round two shots clear of the field but a four-over par round of 75 on Sunday meant he finished tied-third.

Bushnell recently introduced the Tour v3 laser rangefinder, engineered with the new and unique JOLT technology providing the golfer with short vibrating bursts to reinforce that the laser has locked onto the flag, eliminating all doubt and assuring the golfer that he has the exact distance to the flag.

The Tour v3 Slope also features Slope Technology that provides golfers compensated distances based on the degree of elevation. The Tour v3 is also available in a tournament legal, non-Slope version.
