Jimenez wins with new Lamkin grips

Newly signed Lamkin grip ambassador Miguel Angel Jiménez won the Mitsubishi Electric Championship on the Champions Tour. It was the 51 year old Spaniard’s first win since becoming a Lamkin brand ambassador and the first win on any Tour for Lamkin’s new Wrap-Tech grip.

Jiménez closed out his second victory in three starts on the Champions Tour with six birdies in the last nine holes, carding a closing round 66 to edge out Mark O’Meara by a shot. Jiménez displayed great control throughout the tournament, taking his opportunities when they came. This was epitomised by his tally of 12 under for the 12 par fives across the four days.

This was only the second tournament that Jiménez had put the Lamkin Wrap-Tech grips into play and they are clearly becoming a firm favourite. The win in Hawaii comes hot on the heels of a spectacular hole-in-one in Abu Dhabi last week and following this great start Lamkin hopes that it continues to help Jiménez to a season of highlights.

Lamkin grip

The new Wrap-Tech grip delivers the perfect balance of comfort, control and feel through Lamkin’s exclusive Double Helix surface texture. The grip’s traditional wrap-style offers a comfortable feel ideally suited for players who don’t wear a glove. The added traction in the unique dual pattern provides enhanced control and slip-resistance.
