Srixon introduces new Z-Star golf ball range for 2015

Srixon has announced the release of the new Srixon Z-STAR premium golf ball range. The new balls promise long-hitting performance, increased spin around the greens, and to conquer the wind.

Featuring Srixon’s most advanced ball technology to date, the new Z-STAR and Z-STAR XV feature a number of key technical advancements to improve upon its predecessors.

The high initial velocity, high launch angle, and low spin create a powerful trajectory that conquers the wind, for longer distance, and achieved through:

  • New 324 Speed Dimple Pattern, featuring a more uniform surface area for lower aerodynamic resistance. This results in even more airflow around the ball during flight, giving the Z-STAR and Z-STAR XV a powerful trajectory with longer distance.
  • New Energetic Gradient Growth (E.G.G.) Core, which gives you a greater contrast between the hard outer region and soft inner than the previous model. This means higher launch angles and lower spin rates are produced from the tee, while crucially still maintaining the new Z-STAR’s soft feel.

In the new Srixon Z-STAR XV, a newly developed, high-resistance Ionomer ultra-thin mid-layer has been added. This increases mid-layer hardness, further improving the contrast between the hard outer and soft inner for high launch angles and low spin, resulting in a firmer feel and even more distance than the Z-STAR.

The Spin Skin coating is now 21% softer than the previous model. This, combined with the 7% softer ultra-thin, super-soft neo-urethane cover, gives golfers a 25% increase in interaction with clubface on impact than the previous model to offer a softer feel and consistent spin performance.
