Mizuno go blue with the new S5 Wedge

The new S5 wedges from Mizuno have already found their way out on tour in the bag of short game maestro Luke Donald. He’s consistently near the top of the rankings when it comes to sand saves and up and downs but it didn’t stop the former world #1 bagging the S5’s the first week he saw them.

The S5’s are a slightly rounder midsize profile with sharp but versatile sole grinds. The rounded leading edge encourages short game creativity, and every wedge has the grooves CNC-Milled to within a hair of the allowable limits.

Each wedge is produced from the same billets used to create Mizuno’s irons so expect the same awesome touch and feel. Mizuno also leave nothing behind when it comes to maximising spin. Wider shallower grooves on the sand and lob wedges and deeper narrower grooves on the approach and pitching clubs demonstrate their commitment to maxing out your short game.

If your interested in upgrading your wedges you’ll have the choice of either a Blue IP or White Satin finish, six loft options and the choice of either a steel or graphite shaft.

Expect to find the S5’s in good golf shops from early September 2015 with a price of £110 each. For further information visit golf.mizunoeurope.com
