Under Armour unveil first full stretch Gore-Tex Waterproof

Under Armour as a brand have grown through their relentless pursuit of innovation, ambassador Jordan Spieth’s meteoric year on the golf course has obviously chipped in along the way too.

Now in what Under Armour say is a new era for golf rainwear, they are launching the first 3 layer full stretch Gore-Tex waterproof suit available. What’s so good about it? Well the three-layer construction offers a durable, smooth outside and a soft comfortable interior, keeping the garment 100% waterproof but also incredibly breathable. On top of that, Under Armour reckon its suit has 25% more stretch than other Gore-Tex rainwear for golf.

Jackets come with the option of either a full or half-zip. Whilst the trousers are designed to fit like a regular pair of slacks and feature a soft waistband for a comfortable fit, hip adjusters, secure side and back pockets, a zip fly and 12” leg zips.

Spieth has been testing the suit and said “Under Armour are constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s achievable in golf apparel to help make athletes better. The new Gore-Tex range is the most advanced waterproofing technology I’ve ever seen.

Expect to see the new suits in good golf shops soon with full zipped jackets from £250, half zipped jackets from £230 and trousers from £215.
