Ping launch Bubba Watson’s pink G driver

Bubba Watson’s used a pink Ping driver to raise money and awareness for his foundation since 2012. And with huge interest from golfers around owning their own pink Bubba driver Ping have decided to release 6000 of them on a limited-edition basis.

You’ll need to really want one as they’re selling for £500 a piece, but Ping promise $60 from every one that’s sold will be donated to Bubba Watson’s foundation. This is the third time in four years that Bubba’s partnered with Ping to fund raise like this, and the driver project will see the companies charitable donations to Bubba’s foundation pass the $1 million mark.

“Bubba’s a creative thinker and his decision to distinguish himself by using a pink driver and shaft helped make this programme possible,” said John A. Solheim, Ping Chairman & CEO. “I first met him as a teenager and he’s been on our staff since turning professional in 2003. He has a huge heart and continues to use his success to help people in need, especially children”

The limited-edition drivers will have a bright pink shaft and clubhead featuring the same technology as Ping’s current G driver. There’s a choice of 9° and 10.5° lofts (adjustable up to +- 1°) for right-handed players; 10.5° (adjustable up to +- 1°) for left-handed players with either regular or stiff flex shafts. Each club will only be available from recognised Ping stockists for further information visit www.ping.com.
