Ping Apparel announce 2016 ambassadors

Ping took the design of their apparel back in house last year, in a bid to closer align its values and ethos to their award winning hardware. To show their commitment to the casue they’ve just announced their 2016 apparel ambassasdors which include the re-signing of the 2010 Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen.

Others to join the team are 2015 European Solheim Cup captain Carin Koch, two-time major champion, Angel Cabrera as well as fellow tour players Brandon Stone, Rhys Davies and Jimmy Mullen. 

Oosthuizen, who recently signed a multi-year agreement to continue playing Ping golf equipment, will wear the new Spring/Summer 2016 men’s collection which for the first time will feature “Coolmax All Season Technology”. The former Open Champion commented “Ping leads the way in golf club innovation and performance and their apparel line is no different. I need my clothing to perform whatever the conditions. The 2016 collection offers great styling and comfort, whether you’re on or off the course, it allows me to concentrate solely on playing my best golf.”

Similarly, long-term Swedish staff player Koch, who has utilised Ping equipment on the Ladies’ European and LPGA Tours for over 20 years, will wear the new Spring/Summer 2016 ladies’ collection. Koch said, “I’m extremely proud to have such a longstanding association with Ping. I’m excited to now wear the apparel, which delivers excellent on-course performance and comfort but, importantly for the lady golfer, also a great look and style.”
