Odyssey unveil Toe Up putters

Published:

Odyssey have been leading putter innovators for decades and today they’ve unveiled their latest bright idea, the new Toe Up putter line.

We’ve seen “Face Balanced” putters before, but the Toe Up Putters are Stroke Balanced, which means they want to remain aligned at your target which Odyssey says promotes a consistent straight-back-and-through putting stroke.

The say “Stroke Balanced technology ensures reduced torque during the putting stroke for minimal twisting”, so when golfers play a shot, it’s easier to get the face back to square.

This important design feature is achieved by strategically placing more weight towards the face to balance the putter. In addition, the centre of gravity is aligned with the centre of the face.

Available in Tour favourite #1 and #9 Odyssey head shapes and featuring a premium charcoal PVD finish, Toe Up putters also benefit from a Metal-X face, which is perfectly flat and chemically etched, to promote a pure roll.

Three-line Hi-def sight lines, made popular in the Odyssey Marxman range, also highlight a proper address over the ball.

They come with a SuperStroke Flatso 1.0 grip design that allows for even pressure in both hands to eliminate tension in the wrists and forearms. The grip includes SuperStroke’s new counter core technology, which means you can counter balance the putter with the additional of extra back weights.

Austie Rollinson, Odyssey’s principal designer, told us: “By bringing together new technologies in Toe Up putters, we’ve now made it easier for golfers to get the face back to square at impact, meaning more on-line putts to help golfers lower scores.”

Expect to see them in shops from  April 15, with an RRP of £189.
