Wilson Golf introduce Wilson Staff C300 Range

Wilson Golf have today announced the launch of their new Wilson Staff C300 Range; A brand new driver, fairway wood, hybrid and two new irons

Wilson Golf is introducing its first ever (Crossover) wood range and first ever forged option among its irons, with each club featuring FLX Face™ Power Hole Technology that Wilson claims to be its best ever in offering adjustability, forgiveness and distance.

The new Wilson Staff C300 wood range incorporates the pioneering technology included in the brand’s most popular iron range in recent years. “We’re delighted to be the first brand to offer Power Hole technology in a wood as well as an iron range and believe it will prove to be a game changer in the game of golf,” said Jon Pergande, Global Innovation Manager at Wilson Golf.

“Our research showed visible technology made a huge difference at the impact position on the irons and adding it into the C300 wood range provides golfers with added confidence at address, but with the added ability to create desired shots with maximum distance,” he added.

The C300 Driver, woods and irons will be available from 22 January

Wilson Staff C300 Driver

The eye-catching C300 driver in a Deep Matte Red finish features four power holes – two on the sole and two on the crown – spaced towards the heel and toe of the 460cc club head. Wilson Golf claims this feature increases the overall Face Deflection and adds seven yards in extra distance. The heel and toe Power Holes combined with new Reactive Face Technology provide greater balance performance across the entire club face.

Green Means GO! Fast Fit Technology 3.0 enables players to make quick adjustments by eliminating the need to remove the club head from the shaft. A six-way adjustable hosel covers loft settings from 8° to 14° in half degree increments allowing players to attain the ideal lie and face angle. Standard loft options are 9°, 10.5° and 12.0°. A Left handed option is available in 10.5° loft.

Multi-Fit Adjustability 3.0 allows a natural, draw or fade setting through three different weight placements – 2 x 6 gram weights (White paint fill) and a 1 x 2 gram weight (Black paint fill) that can be switched to create a desired shot shape.

Added to the hosel and loft options, the C300 driver creates a possible 54 unique head set-up’s making it one of the most adjustable on the market.

The C300 driver is available with a Fujikura Speeder Pro 58 shaft (58 grams) and Wilson Staff classic Lamkin Crossline pattern grip from 22 January, at an RRP of £349. Custom fit packages on different shafts and grips are also available

Wilson Staff C300 Fairway Wood

C300 Fairway

The C300 fairway wood features Power Holes around the club head (two on the crown and four on the sole and toe) for the first time ever, creating a larger sweet spot on the face for maximum forgiveness on off-centre hits.

A Carpenter Custom 455 Stainless Steel face insert combined with Power Holes and FLX FACE™ Technology increases Face Deflection by 5% across the entire clubhead resulting in increased ball speeds and distance.

Fast Fit Technology 3.0 creates a possible six loft options on the standard setting available (13.5°, 15° and 18°) along with Multi-Fit Adjustability 3.0 that includes the same weight options as the driver.

The C300 fairway wood is available with a Fujikura Speeder Pro 68 shaft (68 grams) and Wilson Staff classic Lamkin Crossline pattern grip. Left hand available in 15° and 18° loft options.

Wilson Staff C300 Hybrid

Including the same pioneering Power Holes around the clubhead as the fairway wood, the C300 hybrid features sole weight adjustability with two weights positioned to create a neutral or draw setting. The silver (12gram) weight in the toe combined with the black (2gram) weight in the heel creates the standard setting with the reverse set-up for the draw. Each Fast Fit Technology 3.0 setting features three loft options (17°, 20° & 23°) to help golfers find the perfect set-up.

The C300 hybrid is available with a Fujikura Speeder Pro 78h shaft (78 grams) and a Wilson Staff classic Lamkin Crossline pattern grip. Left hand available in 20° and 23° loft options.

Wilson Staff C300 Irons: RRP £599

Wilson Golf has taken its exclusive FLX Face™ Power Hole technology to the next level with the introduction of a double row of Power Holes on the sole of the new Wilson Staff C300 range, which also includes a forged option for the first time.

The C300 irons feature Power Holes around the entire club head to minimise contact between the body and face, providing maximum flex and expanding the sweet spot for greater ball speeds across the entire hitting surface.

Just like its predecessor – the C200 iron – 76% of the thin face of the new iron is free from the body of the club and is once again filled with TE031 Urethane material to provide feel and distance.

Pioneering the double row of Power Holes featured on the sole of the club head (five Power Holes), the C300 iron incorporates two on the toe and three across the topline to showcase the visible 360° FLX Face™ Technology. Wilson Staff claims the double row of Power Holes around the entire head increases face deflection by 58%, adding an extra seven yards of distance.

“Our original innovation of Power Holes proved so popular with the mid-low handicap golfers, that and we wanted to take the technology even further,” said Jon Pergande, Global Innovation Manager at Wilson Golf.

“The entire first row of Power Holes on the sole, flex into the second row at impact creating a spring effect resulting in more distance combined with the feel of being able to shape shots. We’ve also changed the design of the irons following Tour player feedback developed within our Crossover system that enables golfers to up their game,” he added.

Wilson Staff C300 Forged Irons: £599

Wilson c300 forged

The Wilson Staff C300 Forged iron has the first to use Power Holes and FLX Face™ technology in a 8620 Carbon Steel Construction. Like the C300 iron, the Forged version is available in 3-GW and features five Power Holes in a double configuration on the sole (3-8 iron only), but only one on the toe and no visible FLX Face™ Technology on the topline.

The set-up of the Power Holes increases Face Deflection by 27% and adds an extra seven yards of distance. “The C300 Forged is for the aspirational golfer demanding confidence at address while allowing creative shot making, backed-up by the forgiveness of the FLX Face™ Technology,” said Jon.

“Inspired by our Tour player irons and made out of the same 8620 Carbon Steel, we’re expecting the C300 Forged to make a real impact in the game-player irons section,” he added.

The C300 Forged iron is available with premium KBS Tour 105 (105grams) steel and Fujikura Pro 85 (85 grams) graphite shaft options together with the Wilson Staff classic Lamkin Crossline pattern grip.

They will have a RRP of £599 (5-PW) and £699 (4-PW) for steel shafts (available in left hand version 4-PW RRP £699) and £799 for a set with graphite shafts (4-PW).
