Skechers unveil SEVEN new-for-2018 golf shoes

The new 2018 men’s GO GOLF Collection sees Skechers showcase more innovative tech and new colours in their biggest range of golf shoes ever.
There are seven new shoes hitting shops soon, all offering grip, weatherproofing and, crucially for Skechers, out-of-the-box comfort. When TG readers tested the 2017 last year, they were impressed by the grip and comfort on offer.
Skechers GO GOLF Pro V3 £139
In a nutshell: Matt Kuchar’s shoe of choice, the GO GOLF Pro V3 is the firm’s most advanced golf shoe for 2018. It has a new full-leather upper and available in three new colours.
Tech highlights: A Resamax cushioned insole offers comfort and support while combining with Skechers 5-GEN lightweight and responsive cushioning and a full leather upper are paired with an air mesh lining providing comfort and breathability. It has 100% waterproof protection while a dynamic traction plate aids in quick removal of dirt, and provides a strong base for Softspikes replaceable cleats providing traction and comfort on any playing surface.
Colours: Black leather with silver trim, charcoal leather with red trim and white leather with navy trim.
Skechers GO GOLF Elite V3 £99/LX £109
In a nutshell: This full leather, lace-up shoe is the next generation of Skechers’ most successful spikeless golf shoe. It features a new full-leather upper and available in four new colours.
Tech highlights: Features a low-drop design to keep your foot low to the ground in a neutral position; a Resamax cushioned insole offers comfort and support; 5-GEN lightweight and responsive cushioning and full leather upper are paired with a DRI-LEX moisture management interior; H2GO Shield provides 100% waterproof protection; An all-new multi-traction transition TPU outsole provides traction.
Colours: Black leather with black trim, grey leather with lime trim, white leather with grey trim and white leather with navy trim. Also available in high quality, full-grain premium leather LX version in charcoal with red trim.
Skechers GO GOLF Approach/LT £99
In a nutshell: An all-new model for 2018, the Approach adopts influences from Skechers’ lifestyle shoes by introducing a new, eye-catching leather and woven mesh upper introduced for added comfort and breathability.
Tech highlights: The Approach also sees Skechers introduce a never before seen Relaxed Fit design for a roomy and comfortable fit, specifically targeted at golfers with a wider foot as well as a low drop design to keep your foot low to the ground in a neutral position with a Resamax cushioned insole. Skechers’ 5-GEN lightweight and responsive cushioning a full leather upper are paired with a DRI-LEX moisture management interior. Skechers H2GO Shield provides 100% waterproof protection. The Approach LT has a full grain leather premium upper.
Colours: Charcoal leather & charcoal mesh with trim and navy leather & navy mesh with white trim. LT available in light grey leather with blue trim, natural leather with grey trim, navy leather with grey trim and white leather and black trim.
Skechers GO GOLF Focus 2 £139
In a nutshell: PGA Tour star Russell Knox’s shoe of choice, the Focus 2 targets players looking for maximum stability during the golf swing in a sleek and contemporary design.
Tech highlights: Maximum stability has been achieved through a sleek, low to the ground, full contact bottom and a dual TPU outsole that secures the foot strongly. Softspikes replaceable cleats provide both traction and comfort, whilst a heel lock design secures further the foot for a stable fit. Comfort comes in the form of responsive 5-GEN and a Resamax insole, combining with a microfibre synthetic upper allowing for improved comfort and support. OutDry waterproof protection creates a waterproof, breathable barrier.

GO GOLF Fairway Lead £79
In a nutshell: A modern, lightweight, comfortable shoe at a great price point.
Tech highlights: Features Skechers Goga Max Technology, 5-GEN responsive cushioning and a new lightweight, fused two-toned engineered mesh upper for breathability and comfort. Skechers’ H2GO Shield water-resistant protection shields you from all weather conditions, whilst an improved spikeless Goga Matrix outsole provides support and traction.
Colours: Black textile with white trim and grey textile with navy trim.
GO GOLF Drive Classic £69
In a nutshell: One of Skechers’ most successful shoes, with a simple, spikeless design and two colours.
Tech highlights: High-rebound Goga Mat cushioning combines with a lightweight, injection-molded midsole for comfort. Wicking lining adds breathability while a leather and synthetic upper boasts water-resistant protection.
Colours: Black synthetic with white trim and white synthetic with blue trim.

Global ambassadors provide Skechers with an insight on fits, aesthetics and function throughout their shoe ranges. PGA Tour stars Matt Kuchar and Russell Knox both endorse the brand, while European Tour legend and Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie wears GO GOLF Pro V3 and Elite V3.
