Titleist Tour Speed golf ball revealed

Titleist have revealed their new Tour Speed golf ball with the claim that it’s the fastest, best performing golf ball in its category.
The three-piece Titleist Tour Speed golf ball is a completely new design and the result of years of rigorous product development. It as a thermoplastic urethane cover that Titleist say delivers category-leading speed, exceptional distance and precise short-game control.
Titleist say their new 346 quadrilateral dipyramid dimple design provides penetrating flight for long distance with tight dispersion.

The Tour Speed golf ball also features a new high-speed core formulation, combined with a fast ionomer casing layer. The thermoplastic urethane (TPU) cover has been specifically formulated by R&D chemists to generate greenside spin for short game scoring control with soft feel.
“Our golf ball scientists and engineers have gone to extraordinary lengths in the development of Tour Speed – testing numerous core formulations and aerodynamic patterns, while formulating and analysing hundreds of TPU cover blends – to deliver on that promise,” said Michael Mahoney, Titleist’s Vice President of Golf Ball Marketing.

Titleist Tour Speed is available from September 11, priced at £40 per dozen.
