Rife golf shoes look great and cost less

Rife golf shoes offer fantastic styling at a very competitive price.

Golf shoes have never been better. Whether you still like the look of a classic golf shoe, or you prefer a modern design that looks more like a trainer, there are designs to suit you. There are super-lightweight golf shoes that are still 100% waterproof and gone are the days where a new pair of golf shoes meant “breaking them in” over several rounds, as comfort levels are now excellent from the very first outing.

If there is a downside, it is the price. Many of the top golf shoes now retail for over £100, even over £150 in many cases. That’s a lot of money, and it’s likely why Rife Golf have seen the opportunity to launch a range of shoes that look and feel good, without breaking the bank.

Rife launched as a company 20 years ago, the creation of putter designing mastermind Guerin Rife. In an industry with established brands spending tens of millions on R&D and marketing, it takes something pretty special to enter the market and make an impact. Rife putters did exactly that, and have been used in more than 50 Tour victories since then.

Now, Rife Golf is branching out into the golf shoe market with four models that will be available in the UK from American Golf.

Rife Golf shoes look the part and will appeal to a lot of golfers unwilling to spend £100 to £150 on golf shoes. Here’s the lowdown on the four models:

RIFE RF-01 Pro Approach Spikeless golf shoes – £59.99

The Rife RF-01 Pro Approach Spikeless golf shoe delivers on and off-course versatility with understated styling that doesn’t scream “golf shoe”.

On the course, the spikeless outsole offers good stablity and grip during the swing. The rubber midsole, meanwhile, offers excellent cushioning and comfort when walking.

The high-density micro polyurethane upper is 100% waterproof and offers long-lasting durability.

RIFE RF-02 Blade Spikeless golf shoes – £64.99

The Rife RF-02 blade golf shoe is perhaps our favourite in the range. It looks like a cross between the original FootJoy Pro S/L and the Skechers Go Golf Pro. That’s no bad thing, particularly given the Rife is about half the price of the other two.

The Rife RF-02 features the same spikeless outsole as the RF-01, with multi-direction grip for maximum stablility. Again, the upper is micro polyurethane, offering 100% waterproofing and good durability.

RIFE RF-05 The Element – £74.99

The RF-05 is Rife’s only cleated shoe in the range, reflecting the fact that spikeless golf shoes are now the most popular choice among golfers.

The upper is constructed with a microfibre material and is 100% waterproof. The low-profile midsole and moulded insole offer maximum walking comfort, while a durable rubber outsole will protect you from the elements.

RIFE RF-07 Epic Ace Spikeless golf shoes – £49.99

The Rife RF-07 Epic Ace golf shoe is a great summer shoe, with a durable spikeless outsole and an air mesh upper that offers extra breathability to keep your feet cool when the weather is warm.
