It's not often that you get to meet (and play golf) with a footballing cult hero but on a recent trip to Spain, staff writer Jon Greathead did just that.
He met up with former West Ham and Liverpool (not to mention Canvey Island) left-back Julian Dicks for a round at the Hacienda del Alamo club just outside Murcia. The 39-year-old is now a professional golfer and is attempting to reach the main European Tour.
In this brief interview, the Bristol-born hardman tells us what he's up to, gives us his take on the Spanish lifestyle as well as revealing some home truths about Frank Lampard's indifferent golf game. Take a look at "Dicksy's" take on things.
For the full interview with the former England U21 man, be sure to purchase issue 235 of TG which comes out on September 20.
