TV’s man-of-the-moment Vernon Kay fell in love with golf the first time he picked up a club a couple of years back and he hasn’t looked back. Not since crushing former colleague Toby Keel in a TG Tenner encounter within weeks of taking up the game in fact!
Whenever he’s not on the box – which is not very often these days as he always seems to be presenting something or other – it’s a safe bet he’ll be knocking it around on the golf course.
A proud member of Stoke Park GC in Buckinghamshire, Bolton boy Vernon can’t get enough of the game as he entertainingly demonstrates here just after he’d compered club manufacturer Taylor Made’s pre-Open Championship function at Piperdam G&CC just outside Dundee.
