Seve Ballesteros released from hospital

Seve Ballesteros has been released from hospital following four seperate surgeries to remove a brain tumour.

The Spanish legend had been in La Paz Hospital, Madrid, since he collapsed on 13 October, and underwent his fourth surgery to insert a valve to drain fluid from his brain just last week.

“The patient Severiano Ballesteros has been discharged this morning by the Department of Neurosurgery and has already left the hospital,” read a statement.

“He will continue to have outpatient treatment in the Departments of Radiotherapy and Medical Oncology.”
