Are you the current Club Champion at your golf club? Then you can enter a fantastic competition which could see you win a trip to Royal Birkdale.
The HSBC/Golf World Champion of Champions contest in a long-running amateur tournament for reigning 2008 Club Champions.
Golf World magazine is arranging free-to-enter qualifying events throughout the UK this summer. They are taking part at prestigious courses including The Belfry, Southport & Ainsdale, Mannings Heath, Forest Pines, The Oxfordshire and St Andrews Bay.
Champion of Champions qualifying dates:
- Southport & Ainsdale: Monday 6th July
- The Belfry – PGA National: Tuesday 21st July
- Saunton – East: Wednesday 22nd July
- Fairmont St Andrews – The Torrance: Tuesday 28th July
- The London Club – International: Monday 3rd August
- Mannings Heath – Waterfall: Tuesday 4th August
- The Roxburghe: Thursday 6th August
- Forest Pines: Tuesday 11th August
- The Oxfordshire: Wednesday 12th August
- Machynys: Thursday 13th August
They are free to enter, and competitors can choose the most convenient qualifying course for them.
From those, the top five qualifiers will win a place at the grand final, taking place at Royal Birkdale on September 16-17. Again, entry to the final is free, as is accommodation.
The overall winner at the final will be crowned HCBC/Golf World Champion of Champions 2009. They will also receive a trophy and other prizes, plus publicity in Golf World magazine and regional media.
