Better putting… even on winter greens!

Putting is difficult in the current conditions and many Handicap Tracker users have struggled to get the ball in the hole in the last week.

The numbers speak for themselves: 20% of you recorded 40+ putts, 50% 35+ putts
and only 4% had less than 30 putts.

It was a bad day with the flat stick for these Handicap Tracker users:

Gary White (25.2) from Essex shot 92 at West Hove GC, shooting 40 points for a 1.2 handicap drop but unbelievably still recorded 44 putts!

Mark Penfold (5.8) from Kent shot 75 at Southern Valley GC, which is bang on his handicap but his 41 putts made up 55% of his shots.

Martin Kehoe (19.6) from Kent shot 91 at Birchwood Park GC, recording 36 points with 37 putts.

Winter greens and putting surfaces affected by frost, rain and snow don’t make for easy conditions, but you should still be looking for a minimum two-putt every time.
