Budding Tiger chasing top award

Golfing prospect Aadam Syed (9) has been nominated for the HSBC Young Sports Personality of the Year 2010 award which is hosted by Sony Asia TV and takes place at London’s famous Grosvenor hotel.
Aadam, who attends Cranford primary school in Hayes, Middlesex, has been playing the game since he was six and won the 2008 UK Power Play at The Belfry.
He triumphed at The Belfry despite being the youngest competitor – it was an under-18s event and Aadam played from the white tees.
Not only did he win the junior power play competition crown, he came second in the men’s section!
Last year he made history by becoming the youngest player to represent the Middlesex County junior team (under 14s).
The talented youngster also represented Ealing GC in junior league matches, winning six of the seven games he featured in!
Aadam has also taken part in men’s competitons at his local golf club (Air Links GC, Heston) and has won two monthly medals as well as the Reg Warren Trophy in which he lined up against 80 men!
