Cure a weak fade!

“Phil, looks like a very good swing in the recent snowy driving range scene!

“Your tendency to hit the weak fade really stems from your set up. At address your shoulders tend to set a little ‘open’, aiming to the left. Also your right shoulder and arm are set a bit too high above your left arm.

“Although I can’t see your grip, I suspect it may be a little ‘weak’ so I suggest you turn both hands more to your right so you can see more knuckles which will tend to close the clubface earlier through impact.

“In the takeaway you tend to roll the club away a little behind you causing the face to open a little too much. Try to feel it works back a touch straighter, feeling the face ‘looking’ at the ball a little longer.

“At address I want you to feel your left shoulder higher and your right elbow and shoulder ‘tucked’ back sensing your set up feels a touch more closed encouraging a draw shot.

“Add this set up to the adjusted takeaway and you should have a more solid feeling of attacking the ball more ‘inside’, producing more power and straighter shots. All the best with the changes.”
