A week before taking on Pebble Beach in the US Open, Rory McIlroy was playing the course in virtual form as he modelled for his character in the new EA Sports golf game.
The Irishman visited Celtic Manor for a “motion capture” session, where he wore a high-tech suit full of sensors to accurately capture his swing.
