Rate My Swing: paulmichaelajordcal

“Looks like a modern looking swing and set up you have. From the camera angle face on I can’t quite see your posture but suspect you are quite angled forward adopting the stance of a modern ‘one plane’ action.

“Be wary of getting your shoulders too level at address and the ball creeping back. I would move the ball forward to the left heel and tilt your spine and shoulders away from the target a little more.

“Also, if you are prone to leaking shots out to the right slightly you may need to adopt a slightly stronger grip (rotate both hands a touch more clockwise seeing more knuckles of the left hand).

“Your backswing looks great and the downswing is good too however there seems to be a small tendency to hit with the shoulders not allowing your left arm to fold over and the legs getting stuck a little through impact; both these inhibit the ‘free’ release of the club.

“Imagine you are a left-handed hitch hiker, thumbing a lift by rolling the left fore arm over, link this to the right knee rolling toward the left through impact. This should give you a feel of the correct action.

“All the best and keep up the good work.”
