Lucky Friday the 13th at Old Course Hotel

Now there is no avoiding Friday 13th as 2012 holds the maximum number any given calendar year can have and it could be argued that the two in 2013 are even more unlucky!

However, for brides and grooms at the world-famous Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa in St Andrews, the day will be far from unlucky.

To celebrate this rare occurrence, the luxury resort has teamed up with Laurent Perrier to create a spectacular Friday the 13th package offering couples who choose to buck the trend and book on this supposedly unlucky day throughout 2012 and 2013, 13 free bottles of Laurent Perrier Brut and a wildly decadent 13 tiered cake with the resorts compliments.

Daniel Pereira, the resorts General Manager comments: “All the superstition associated with Friday 13th is well known, but this year we hope we’ve provided enough reasons for couples to jump at the chance of a wedding on Friday the 13th.

“Our wedding guests receive nothing less than VIP service and we look forward to welcoming fun and daring couples to enjoy their wedding days with us on these days.  Our aim is to make Friday the 13th the luckiest day in the world for our couples and no black cats, ladders or red and white flowers will stop us!”

In addition to the Friday 13th lucky-for-some experience, the five star resort are also hosting a Wedding Consultation weekend. The resort will be opening their event planning doors to all betrothed couples, offering a taste of the resort’s personalised service first hand.

The consultation event will take place on the Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th January and entry to the event is free with no appointment necessary. Any booking made on the day will receive a beautiful wedding suite – with the hotel’s compliments – for the night of the wedding.
