Macmillan’s big golf drive event this summer

Golf clubs and courses up and down the country are being invited to take part in the inaugural Macmillan Big Golf Drive scheduled to take place on Friday August 24.

Around the country golf clubs and golfers will club together and put on all kinds of events to raise money for people affected by cancer.

Says Macmillan Golf Programme Manager Claire Driscoll: “Clubs and golfers can do anything they like to get involved with the Big Golf Drive and there will be incentives and prizes for those raising the most money.”

Fundraising ideas include donating an hour of green fees to organising an action-packed golf day – or even holding a raffle, theme night or golf quiz in the 19th. Or you can make the most of the school holidays by getting the kids and whole family involved.

By getting involved in the Big Golf Drive clubs/golfers can ensure no one goes through cancer alone. More than 300,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year and Macmillan are on hand to support sufferers and their families every step of the way…

The Big Golf drive is being supported by both Today’s Golfer and Teeofftimes.co.uk, the latter donating one hour’s worth of tee-times with the proceeds going to Macmillan.
