The Search Is On To Find London’s Best Golfer

As some of the world’s greatest golfers prepare to do battle at Medinah for the 39th Ryder Cup, another epic golfing contest is about to begin closer to home.

The Search for London’s Best Golfer begins this month at Urban Golf, who are laying down a challenge to find the capital’s finest all round golfer.

The prize is a golf trip of a lifetime to the iconic Pebble Beach Resorts, where the winner and a friend will stay at The  Inn at Spanish Bay and play rounds on all three of the world famous courses; The Links at Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach Golf Links.

To enter, golfers can visit any one of Urban Golf’s three London venues to play a virtual round at Pebble Beach Golf Links, recreated on aboutGolf’s state-of-the-art simulators. Golfers who record one of the lowest 24 scores over 9 holes will be invited to a final showdown on 24th October, hosted by Pebble Beach Resorts at Urban Golf, where a winner will be crowned.

An added incentive for the capital’s golfers will be to try and beat Luke Donald’s score of 30 during 9 holes around the ‘virtual’ Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Urban Golf’s Managing Director James Day said: “It’s an honour for us to be partnering with Pebble Beach Resorts for this competition, which we hope will develop into an annual event to find London’s best golfers. The best part of all is that you don’t have to be a great golfer to win the prize! Anyone who enters and cards a score will automatically be entered into a separate draw to win a trip to Pebble Beach Resorts; we want to see golfers of all ability give it a go!”
