Today’s Golfer regains No1 spot after 4.4% ABC increase

Today’s Golfer has regained its No1 position as the UK’s best-selling golf magazine after a massive 9.4% swing on period-on-period sales.

Today’s Golfer posted a 4.4% period-on-period increase for the first six months of the year, according to the ABC results published on Thursday.

Meanwhile, IPC’s Golf Monthly posted a 5.0% circulation decrease over the same period.

Today’s Golfer also increased its subscription base to its highest level ever.

TG Editor Chris Jones, who took over at the start of the year, said: “This is a fantastic result for the whole team. And we have some big plans to make TG even better in the next six months.”

Both Today’s Golfer and its sister title, Golf World, continue to grow their digital editions, with expansion into the Android market.

Undoubtedly though, the biggest development has been the re-launch of www.todays-golfer.com, which has been completely transformed to offer a more exciting and easier user experience.

Senior Web Producer Harriet Linton commented: “Our exciting new website brings us up to date with the latest technology and enhances the Today’s Golfer brand, helping our readers to buy better, choose better and play better. So far we’ve had nothing but positive feedback and we are confident that this new site will take us from the best in Britain to one of the top golf websites in the world.”

Both brands have also seen a big increase in social media traffic, with Today’s Golfer doubling its Twitter followers in the last 12 months alone and Golf World smashing the 20,000 follower mark.
