Try Golf World On Your iPad With This Month’s Open Special

Published:

This month Golf World has undergone an exciting new re-launch, and now you can enjoy it on your iPad.

The new digital edition is led by the front section, titled ‘Agenda’, which looks at the return of Tiger Woods, sees us catch-up with Brandt Snedeker. We also look at the teenage prodigies from China, bust some equipment myths, and find out more about New York’s new US Women’s Open venue.

Ross Fisher leads our tour instruction tips, sharing advice on how to hit more fairways and greens, how to gain more power, how to chip it close and how to perfect your bunker play. The Nike staffer also gives us his thoughts on the future.

Our incredible Open preview starts with a look at what some of golf’s biggest names, including the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Lee Trevino, think of the 2013 venue, Muirfield.

Then our cover star and double Muirfield champion Nick Faldo talks about his 1987 and 1992 triumphs, including his infamous “heart of my bottom” moment.

We also take you inside Muirfield’s grand clubhouse, showing you the famous dining room, locker room, among more, before local professional Alasdair Good shares the shots that will help clinch the Claret Jug, including how to master long putts, play out the deep pot bunkers, shaping approaches and the tricky 18th tee shot.

In this new issue we also examine how Ernie Els – the last man to lift the Claret Jug at Muirfield – managed to reverse his slump and get back to the top of his sport last year at Royal Lytham and St. Anne’s, take a sneak peek at the latest new equipment, and feature the glorious Brancaster, one of England’s most distinctive links in the corner of Norfolk.

If all that is not enough, there is also a hole-by-hole course guide of Muirfield with Tom Watson, winner at Muirfield in 1980, which includes his tips as to where The Open will be won and lost.
