One Direction idols battle it out on the golf course

Global pop sensation One Direction are proving a smash hit Down Under – both on and off the golf course!

Two members of the world’s no. 1 boy band and their friends were hosted at the exclusive Lake Karrinyup Country Club, home of next month’s Perth International golf championship, during a visit to Perth for two concerts.

Both Harry Styles and Niall Horan played 18 holes on the championship course and although Harry admitted he played badly on the day he was delighted to emerge victorious and put one over his fellow golf-loving badmate.

The Perth International will be played from 17 to 20 October 2013 and big names set to take part include American aces Dustin Johnson and defending champion Bo Van Pelt, Branden Grace (South Africa), England’s Paul Casey and home-based heroes Brett Rumford and Nick O’Hern.
