Improve your game at a Today’s Golfer Academy

Published:

You’ve read their fantastic tips and advice in the magazine and now you have the chance to enjoy face-to-face lessons with some of the top teaching professionals in the country at our brand new TG Golf Academies. These tuition days focus on a variety of different areas – including long game, short game and mental game – so there will be an academy to suit your needs no matter what area of the game you want to improve in.

We’ve teamed up with Scott Cranfield and Steven Orr from the Cranfield Golf Academy to offer you this fantastic tuition opportunity. Both coaches will be there running the academies so you’ll benefit from their combined 42 years of teaching experience and receive one-on-one instruction as well as working in a friendly and encouraging group environment.

Each day runs from 8am-5pm and will have a specific focus on the long game, short game or mental game and includes eight hours of tuition for £149 – that’s the equivalent of less than £20 each for a series of eight one-hour lessons. A welcome drink and bacon sandwich and lunch are included in the price and every golfer will get a 20-page tuition booklet to take away with them, which will include a summary of everything you’ve learnt throughout the day and specific tips and feedback for you.

There are only 12 places available at each day so book now to avoid disappointment by emailing your preferred date and venue to scott@carzo.net.

When and where
The first four TG Golf Academy days are…

May 1st: Rudding Park GC, Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Focus: Long game – Learn key principles that are timeless and will apply to you, regardless of your age, handicap or physical restrictions etc. The principles are based on the laws of how a human being learns, moves and thinks, so you will learn a swing that really works for you. You will take these lessons to the course to make sure you can get benefit in your play as well as your practise and learn how to focus effectively in competition play.

May 2nd: The Chase GC, Penkridge, Staffordshire
Focus: Mental Game – This day starts with 3-6 holes to assess your game so there is enough technical advice to ensure the mental tips can be applied and the full benefit experienced. The key principles of how to develop mental strength and confidence are taught and practised. A big part of the day is applying strategies and focuses on the course, so you will play a further 18 holes – nine to continue the coaching and nine under competition rules.

May 15th: Cranfield Golf Centre, Chadwell Heath, Essex
Focus: Short Game – Like in the long game academy, you will learn key principles that are timeless and apply to every human being. These principles will be applied to each short game area: pitching, chipping, sand play and putting. The day will include nine holes of play so you can learn the correct focus to ensure your short game skills are sustained on the course and remain effective when it counts in competition play.

May 16th: Rustington GC, Angmering, West Sussex
Focus: Long Game – Content as at Rudding Park.
