Kings of the Castles

The Royal Household staff golf team (pictured, representing Windsor Castle) comfortably won this week’s Tri Castle golf match at Leeds Castle GC in Kent.

Leeds Castle hosted a Tri Castle the annual contest match between its own staff team, Hever Castle staff and the victorious Royal Household staff (representing Windsor Castle).

“The competition takes place once a year where all three castles get together. Each castle hosts the tournament by rotation. It’s a very competitive event of course with Castle bragging rights at stake!” commented Steve Purves Leeds Castle Golf Manager and PGA Professional.

“We are currently six months into a major two-year investment project to revitalise the Leeds Castle nine hole Golf Course back to its former glory with one of the most iconic opening golf holes in the world. Due for completion in early 2016 some 85 years after it was first opened for play, the stunning views of the Castle from the course will be restored with the addition of new vistas, created by thinning out existing overgrown woodlands.”

“Whilst the work is in progress we remain open and golfers will start to see a rise in standards of the course. We want to provide a facility that meets the requirements of all levels of golfers, and one that shows quality throughout the year,” Steve added.

For those wishing to play unlimited golf, Season Tickets are available in 5 day midweek and 7 day full formats from £295 per year.
