Alan McInally wins Celeb-Am title at Nailcote Hall

After a great day of golf at Nailcote Hall, Alan McInally, secured Tuesday’s Celeb-Am title with a score of 3 over par, despite a late charge from fellow soccer TV pundit Don Goodman.

The leading professional was Gary Wolstenholme who finished with a score of -2, while the leading team was Social Golfer with -9.

Stars out on the course included Ashes-winning cricketer Jonny Bairstow, Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel, ex-Westlife singer Brian McFadden, Olympians Derek Redmond and Mark Foster and iconic jockeys Bob Champion MBE and John Francome.

Bairstow finished in third place in the Celeb-Am with +7 and afterwards entertained fans with an exclusive Q&A session about England’s incredible Ashes victory and the upcoming Test at The Oval. 

Tonight’s Welcome Ball will be hosted by comedian Dominic Holland and will feature some exclusive entertainment for the guests and players and include a charity auction raising vital funds for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.

Tomorrow will see the beginning of the Pro-Am Championship, where the professionals will begin their campaign to take home the £25,000 top prize.

On Friday, the Celeb-Am action begins all over again with a host of stars joining the fun at Nailcote Hall.
