Kevin Pietersen charity Golf Day at Wentworth

A star-studded celebrity field is expected to assemble and contest the Kevin Pietersen Golf Day at Wentworth on August 25th.

Big names from the world of sport and showbiz, including of course the organiser and cricketing superstar himself, will be battling it out over the Surrey venue’s world-famous West course which recently hosted the prestigious BMW PGA Championship.

It promises to be a fantastic and memorable golf day out though the main reason behind it is to raise as much funds as possible for the KP Foundation which aims to support under privileged children around the globe and to give them better chances in sport, education, employment and in life.

The day starts at 10am with Brunch and there will be a midday shotgun start followed by post-round drinks, canapes and live jazz and rounded off with a prizegiving and auction.

Winners of the KP Foundation Golf Day will jet off to Dubai later in the year to take part in the “Race to Atlantis Golf Day.” Included in the prize will be flights for all team members, three nights’ deluxe room accommodation at the award-winning Atlantis Hotel, travel to and from the golf day and, of course, the after party.

Cost is £3,500 (team of 4) and £4,000 (three places & celebrity). All players will receive a TaylorMade/adidas golf shirt.

Look out for a special feature on controversial cricketer Pietersen – sacked by England for a “breach of trust and team ethics” – in the next issue of TG, out June 11th.
