Jordan Spieth’s face is made of 24,152 balls

Jordan Spieth’s 2015 season contained some truly startling numbers. He won five times, earned more than £14 million, racked up 15 top-10 finishes and lead the PGA Tour with a scoring average of 68.938, nearly a shot per tournament better than second-placed Jason Day.

You can now add another crazy number to that list, after one of Spieth’s sponsors, telecommunications company AT&T, made a mosaic of his face – using 24,152 golf balls.

The 1,700 square feet mosaic, built at Main Street Gardens in Dallas, took 25 people more than 24 hours to create, but was only on display for two days before being deconstructed. Footage of it will be used in the company’s TV and print commercials next year.

And if you’re thinking of offering a good home to all those golf balls, you’re out of luck. They’re being donated to The First Tee and Northern Texas PGA.
