Longest Day Challenge a massive hit

This summer’s Longest Golf Day challenge has raised a record-breaking £1m plus for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Nearly 2,000 teams from across the UK took part in the stamina-sapping event and the grateful organisers are absolutely flabbergasted with the outcome.

A delighted spokesperson said: “This means we can be there for more people affected by cancer than ever before. Amazing work by all of you longest day golfers.

“A huge well done to all the teams involved. You did it, you took on the toughest test in golf and emerged victorious and for that, we salute you.”

The most successful teams in terms of monies raised for the charity will now contest the Longest Day Trophy at the stunning Boavista Resort in the western Algarve, Portugal, between October 16th-18th.

Battling it out for the overall Longest Day spoils will be the quartet of The Luke-Mia Skywalkers, Harry’s Team, Stoke Park and The Buckinghamshire Herons.
