Choose your team for Fantasy Golf

Fantasy Golf is back for a sixth season and it promises to be bigger and better than ever. Thousands of you signed up last year, with Shane Mills claiming top spot and a holiday to La Manga Club in Spain.

This year, we’ve revamped the rules and have some bumper prizes, including trips to Majorca, Sicily, Belek and La Manga. To help you along the way, we will publish in-depth tournament previews online and regular updates in the magazine. Our weekly newsletter will also include our top transfer tips and we promise they’ll be bang on the money…

How it works
The game will once again cover events on the PGA and European Tour, kicking off at the Masters on April 7 and concluding at the DP World Tour Championship on November 20. And yes, the Rio Olympics AND the Ryder Cup will count towards your score. To add some extra spice, you can also set up or join a private minileague. Leagues containing more than five teams can also be entered into a League of Leagues competition.

What’s new this year
Teams are now made up of 10 players from a £100m budget. You also need to select a captain who will score double points, so pick wisely. Your success will likely hinge on nine ‘bonus’ tournaments, which will each add 50% extra points to your score. These include all four Majors, plus The Players, The Barclays, the Italian Open, the Dunhill Links and the seasonending World Tour Champs. Unlimited team changes can be made between now and the start of the Masters. Thereafter, all teams will receive five transfers for each week of the season.

What’s up for grabs
The overall winner will receive a fournight break for two at La Manga Club in Murcia, Spain, including B&B in the fivestar hotel and three rounds of golf (to be taken on the North, South or West courses). Each manager of the month will also collect a top prize, as will the highestscoring mini-league. Prizes range from shoes and rangefinders to free rounds and short breaks abroad – details online.
