Cypress Point is the ultimate golf course journey. It starts in the open, goes into the forest, comes out into the dunes and then back into the forest before emerging next to the ocean. MacKenzie also created angles and lies during that journey. On the 14th, you have a reverse cambered fairway where you need to hit it left off the tee for a better lie and angle into the green. Hit it right and you have a hanging lie into a St Andrews-type green with a false front.
