Open players wore Trion:Z products

There was something in the air at the Open, or more specifically, on the wrists of Trion:Z-sponsored Italians Edoardo Molinari and Matteo Manassero.

Both Molinari brothers and compatriot Matteo Manassero were vying for the top spot of the leader board after the first day of play, and they continued to fare well throughout the weekend.

Edoardo, who finished at 11 under par in joint seventh, making it his first-ever top-10 victory at a major championship, a fantastic achievement for someone who was 146th in the rankings coming into this week and hadn’t played in a major since the 2012 Masters due to injury.

21-year-old Matteo Manassero perhaps deserved more than his final position of joint 19th having played some great golf in the previous rounds.

Both players were wearing the new DUO LOOP from Trion:Z, a new product for 2014, which could also been seen on a number of other players at Royal Liverpool last week, including Boo Weekley, Ryo Ishikawa, and British hopeful Oliver Fisher.
