Courses near Carnoustie

MONTROSE (MEDAL)
Ancient course dating back to the 16th century. There are two parts to the modern Medal: the first basically follows the lines of the dunes and beach while the second plays back towards town before returning to the dunes.

DOWNFIELD
One of Scotland’s best inland layouts provides pure parkland pleasure and is a splendid foil for the many nearby top class links. It’s good enough to stage final qualifying for the last two Carnoustie Opens.

MONIFEITH
Qualifying Open venue for the Open at Carnoustie, the Medal course is something of a hybrid, a links layout with trees. It’s a muscular test with bumpy ground and always a breezy accompaniment.

BURNSIDE
Usually overshadowed by its illustrious neighbour, Carnoustie’s brilliant Burnside oozes character and from the back tees is a splendid test, specially the short holes which would grace any top links.
