Padraig Harrington is back in the world’s top 10 after his amazing play-off victory over Tiger Woods recently.

It’s the first time in 15 months the Irishman has been in the highest echelons of the world rankings, moving up three places to 8th.

European Order of Merit winner Harrington inflicted Woods’ second career play-off defeat at the Dunlop Phoenix tournament in Japan.

  • José Manuel Lara collected his maiden European Tour title with a wire-to-wire victory in the UBS Hong Kong Open.
  • John Senden won the MFS Australian Open by a stroke from US Open champion Geoff Ogilvy at Royal Sydney.
