Three Turnberry berths available at African International Final Qualifying

44 players will battle it out for three places at this year’s Open at Royal Durban Golf Club over the next two days.

Three of last year’s qualifiers, Josh Cunliffe, Douglas McGuigan and Darren Fichardt, all of South Africa, will be among the players hoping to earn a place at Turnberry.

Jaco van Zyl has shown good early season form and will be hoping to challenge: “Currently I’m feeling solid after finishing well last year and with a good start this year, but the qualifier is only two rounds and you cannot pace yourself like a four-round tournament. You have to play aggressively over all 36 holes.”
