March 16 Tiger to play in the Masters

Tiger Woods has announced in a statement that he will return to the game at the Masters in 23 days time. He last played in November, when he won the Australian Masters, and less than two weeks after that crashed his car into a water hydrant at his Florida home, which led to revelations that he had been cheating on his wife.
“The Masters is where I won my first major,” the statement said, “and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I’m ready to start my season at Augusta. I have undergone almost two months of inpatient therapy and I am continuing my treatment. Although I’m returning to competition I still have a lot of work to do in my personal life.”
He went on to apologise for not playing at Isleworth next week in the Tavistock Cup and at the Bay Hill International; and to praise the crowds at the Masters.
