Ian Poulter back in it

After a disappointing first round 74 (+2) Ian Poulter showed that he certainly doesn’t think he is out of this Tournament.

He came out on Friday morning all guns blazing, and after birdies at the first three holes, it looked like anything was possible.

At the 1st he sank a 30-foot putt. At the 2nd he chipped and putted from the front edge. And, at the 3rd, he hit a brilliant approach to 4 feet.

Then, a couple of stray short irons saw him drop a couple of shots, but he finished strongly, picking up three shots in the final six holes, with birdies at the 13th, 14th and 18th holes.

When he finished, he was only seven shots off the lead; and with 36 holes still to play, no one should rule him out quite yet.
