Rory McIlroy has admitted he is considering buying a house in America and playing on the PGA Tour.

The young Northern Irishman said on the eve of the WGC in Ohio that he was thinking about moving back to the State-side Tour. “I’m leaning towards taking my card up again… definitely.

“I feel as if my game really suits playing over here (in America). Everyone has their favourite events and most of my favourite events seem to be on this side of the pond. I’m very comfortable over here.”

McIlroy courted some criticism after the Open at Royal St George’s when he said he didn’t enjoy playing in wind and rain and that he would not try to change his game. He added that he would wait until the weather was better at The Open and then try to win.

This latest moves adds weight to his preference to play in America. He has also revealed that he will look for a house after the US PAG next week.
