The Women’s Open at Carnoustie say 22-year-old Yani Tseng win her fifth Major.

The Taiwanese World No1 blew the field away to win by four shots from American Brittany Lang.

Scotland’s Catriona Matthew ended up fifth on nine under after she struggled a litte on the final day and shot a 72.

Tseng picked up the winner’s cheque for £240,000 and said: “It’s so great making history on this golf course. I feel great right now.”

It’s an honour to win The Open again and I felt much more comfortable this year. I hope to keep winning.”

England’s best finishers were Karen Stupples and Rachel Jennings. They both ended up three under and in a tie for 22nd.
