The number to remember in the second round of the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship appears to be 12.

There are 12 Americans and 12 Europeans remaining in the field. Not to mention, 12 of the top 20 players in the world are left to do battle at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain.

There were some stunning upsets on opening day — most notably of world No. 3 Tiger Woods and defending champ Ian Poulter. But the potential exists for even more excitement as the second round gets under way.
