world matchplay day 2 round up

Phil Mickelson was unceremonously dumped out of the second round of the Accentrue World Matchplay by a rampant Rickie Fowler – and that wasn’t the only surprise result of the day.
American Nick Watney took out World No.1 Lee Westwood, Paul Casey lost to Jason Day and Rory McIlroy was soundly thrashed eight and 7 by Ben Crane!
Mickelson’s match wasn’t exactly close either as the young upstart Fowler put him to sword six and five!
It was a day for the young guns as eight of the surviving 16 players are now aged under 30!
Another of the classy kids was matteo Manassero. He beat Charl Schwartzel on the last hole to edge into the final 16.
Fowler sumemd it up: “I think most of the young guys are fearless. We’re ready to play.”
Today’s matches line up as follows:
Nick Watney v Ryan Moore
Matteo Manessaro v Luke Donald
Rickie Fowler v Matt Kuchar
Graeme McDowell v YE Yang
JB Holmes v Jason Day
Bubba Watson v Geoff Ogilvy
Miguel Jiminez v Ben Crane
Hunter Mahan v Martin Kaymer
