Scott Jamieson targets early birdies on Friday after opening 75

Scott Jamieson spoke to TG after shooting an opening 75 in his Open Championship debut.
“I played well from tee to green but I was disappointed not to make the most of some good chances in the middle of the round. Then I had some bad bogeys at 12, 13 and 14, which was very disppointing.
“It’s great to be here and a great atmosphere. It’s the same as a normal tournament but everything is on a bigger scale.
“After qualifying at the Scottish Open I felt that if I played well then I could have a good finish this week, and I still think I can.
“It all depends on what the weather will do tomorrow. I have an early start (6.52am) on Friday so I’m hoping that it’s not too windy and I can take advantage of it and make some early birdies.
“I think a round of three or four under should comfortably see me playing at the weekend.”
