Monty pushes PGA pro lessons

Colin Montgomerie is fronting a huge campaign to push golf lessons with PGA professionals.

The Ryder Cup-winning captain is the star of a massive TV ad campaign which airs for the first time on Thursay, June 16 to coincidee with the start of the US open.

Monty said: “Every player on the European Ryder Cup team has been coached and mentored by a PGA member thoughout their golfing career. If you want a winning game, see a PGA professional.”

THE PGA’s training programme sees the professionals take a three-year Foundation Degree and participate at continuous training.

PGE Chief Executive Sandy Jones said: “We are very proud of the scheme that ensures coaching standards are the very best in the world. This is reflected not only in the success being enjoyed by British golfers at world level, but also in laying the foundations at grass roots level.”
