Tiger Woods gives impromptu putting lesson

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship is revelling in the ‘Tiger effect’ and this continued with the former world number one giving a putting lesson to the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) Chairman, His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, and Director General, His Excellency Mubarak Al Muhairi, after his first round.

Woods carded a bogey-free 70 (-2) on Thursday and he was in a great mood when he stopped by at the ADTA chalet.

Sheikh Sultan wished Woods the best of luck in this week’s $2.7million tournament and for the rest of the season. Sheikh Sultan also congratulated Woods on his dancing prowess in a pre-Championship publicity stunt which saw the former world number one join a traditional Emirati celebration dance.

> Tiger Woods is valued at $4.5m in the FREE Today’s Golfer Fantasy Golf League, which tees off at the Masters on April 5. There are more than 90 prizes to be won, so click here to sign up now.
