Mark Mouland Achieves Top-10 Finish at ACE Group Classic

Published:

St Athan born professional Mark Mouland has continued his excellent form on the Champions Tour in 2013 at the ACE Group classic by finishing in tied-7th alongside Mark O’Meara.

Mouland shot seven-under-par around the Twin Eagles Golf Course in Florida over three days, finishing one back from Roco Mediate in 5th and five back from eventual winner Bernhard Langer.

The result moves him up 10 places in the Champions Tour Order of Merit rankings to tied-17th and earns the Welshman just over $50,000.

The result comes after Mouland accelerated through the rankings of the European Senior Tour during the 2011 and 2012 season.

Mouland said: “I am delighted with how I played on the final day, I am enjoying my golf and I hoping to make my mark on the Champions Tour this year.

"Being surrounded my such talented players certainly helps to ensure that I am performing to the best of my ability. I am looking forward to the next event and will hopefully better my finish of 7th in the ACE Group Classic.”
